🌯 Freezer Breakfast Burritos: Heat & Go

Batch cooking + freezing for stress-free mornings

Freezer breakfasts save time, money, and mental energy. Using seasoning blends ensures flavor holds up even after freezing and reheating.

🌿 Why Seasoning Matters in Freezer Meals

  • Spices retain flavor better than fresh herbs when frozen

  • Bold seasoning prevents “bland reheated food” fatigue

  • Encourages variety with the same base ingredients

🧠 Science reference:According to Harvard Health Publishing, herbs and spices contain antioxidant compounds that remain stable during cooking and reheating.

🌮 Recipe: Simple Freezer Breakfast Burritos

Ingredients (makes 6):

  • Scrambled eggs

  • Black beans

  • Shredded cheese

  • Sautéed veggies

  • 1 tsp seasoning blend per batch

  • Whole-wheat tortillas

TIP: I will often make this as a meal but double the recipe and when we are done with our meal I will wrap and freeze the "left-overs" instead of having to do a meal prep session.

How to use: Wrap, freeze, reheat 1–2 minutes.

🤝 Seasoning support: I can suggest blends that work well for eggs, beans, or mild palates if you’d like guidance. My favorite for this recipe is a blend of our Taco and Birria seasonings.
